Project details:
The goal of this collaborative fundraiser was to plant 20 million trees by raising 20 million dollars. Started by American YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober, this initiative was carried out on countless YouTube channels and all donations went to tree-planting organization Arbor Day Foundation. By March 2020, the project has raised over 21.8 million dollars, surpassing the target goal. It is estimated that 20 million trees would take up 69 sq m) of land, absorb around 1.6 million tons of carbon, and remove 116 thousand tons of chemical air pollution from the atmosphere.
